Givon Crump, a 6-foot-7 wing from Washington, D.C., hasĀ  decided to transfer to Fresno State from Baylor.

Crump, who also considered Rutgers and Seton Hall, averaged 0.4 points and 0.3 rebounds in 16 games as a reserve forward at Baylor last season. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

“I feel comfortable with the staff at Fresno State,” Crump said by text. “I trust that Coach Q and Coach [Steve] Cleveland have sincere interest in my success as a basketball player and a young man.”

JAMAICA WRIGHT ON THE MOVE (UPDATED)

Joel ‘Air Jamaica’ Wright, a 6-6 forward from Brooklyn Thomas Jefferson, will visit Rutgers Sunday, Robert Morris on Monday and Rice Thursday.

    He may also visit Hofstra.

Wright initially committed to Fordham and later committed to Manhattan.

GONZO DENIED CREDENTIALS AT NBA DRAFT

Sometimes you can’t make this stuff up.

Former Seton Hall coach Bobby Gonzalez, he of the profanity-laced tirade directed at Pat Hobbs, Dean of the Seton Hall Law School, made quite an appearance at Thursday’s NBA Draft.

“Funniest NBA Draft occurrence came at 6:40 when I was walking in,” a well-placed industry source said. “Bobby Gonzalez was being denied a credential and tickets at media will call.”

Still, Gonzo managed to somehow get in, only to publicly challenge Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com by telling him to leave him out of his articles in the future.

Thankfully I avoided crossing paths with Gonzo.
