2016 Wing Singh Adds Offers

Amarveer Singh, a 6-foot-7 2016 wing from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep, is piling up the offers.

Singh has recently added offers from Virginia, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Villanova and Manhattan to go with FDU and Wagner, New York Lightning coach Dana Dingle told SNY.tv.

Oregon State and Rutgers are coming to see him Sunday.

“He’s almost a legit 6-8 and right now he’s a stretch four, [but] he can play the three,” St. Peter’s Prep coach Todd Decker told SNY.tv. “He used to be a point guard so he still has very good perimeter skills.”

Decker added: “As a sophomore, he plays with a such high energy level and passion for the game. He shoots the ball so quickly and his release is very high. I think if he continues to build strength in the weight room and gets more explosive and understands the ins and outs of the game, he’s going to be a very special player.”
