EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A move that has been expected for the last few weeks finally came to be on Friday morning when the Nets sent rookie point guard Tyshawn Taylor and rookie small forward Tornike Shengelia to the team’s NBA Developmental League squad, the Springfield Armor, on Friday morning.
Taylor, a Hoboken native and former star at St. Anthony High School of Jersey City and Kansas University, has appeared in 10 games and has scored 13 points.
The 6-foot-9 Shengelia worked his way on to the roster after a strong showing with the Nets’ summer league team in Orlando. He has only appeared in five games this season and has spent most of it on the inactive list.
Both Shengelia and Taylor will be in uniform when the Armor host the Erie BayHawks, a Knicks affiliate, on Friday evening. Their return to Brooklyn will depend in…
