Are Cliff Alexander and JaQuan Lyle the latest pair of high-profile recruits who will package together in college?
As I addressed in this previous column, many elite prospects talk about packaging, and very few of the dynamic duos actually pan out.
At this stage, the Tyus jones/Jahlil Okafor package seems the most likely to actually happen.
That said, the 6-foot-9 Alexander out of Chicago Curie Tweeted Sunday that “Me & broski will be playing @JMamba5 playing college basketball together.”
He also retweeted a tweet from @Imtaylorrooks which quoted Alexander as saying Lyle can “make him a better player, because of how well he passes the ball.”
Alexander spent the weekend at Arizona on an official visit. The Wildcats also hosted Mater Dei (Calif.) wing Stanley Johnson.
Meantime, Lyle decommitted from Louisville Friday night and has reportedly been contacted by Kansas, Indiana, UConn, Arizona, Memphis and Baylor.
Kansas is one place that seems a possible destination for both Alexander and Lyle.
On that front, Alexander also retweeted this Tweet from @bturner23: “5* @JMamba5 said KU would be hard to turn down and he may be a package deal with 5* @humblekid11 #RockChalk”
