Puerto Rican point guard Allen Baez is off the board.

After visiting UNC-Greensboro on Thursday, the 6-foot-3, 178-pound floor general committed on Friday.

“He was very impressed by the coaching staff,” Carlos Morales, Baez’s AAU coach, told SNY.tv.

Baez had visited Rutgers earlier in the week but never picked up an offer from head coach Eddie Jordan.

Meantime, 6-6 wing Wilfredo Rodriguez will reclass to 2014 and prep for the upcoming season. He had also visited Rutgers.

Morales said Seton Hall’s Grant Billmeier had called asking for Rodriguez’s summer schedule and to say “that they will be on top of him.”

Rodriguez is one of only three players in the history of the Florida Metro Conference to score 2,000 career points.
