New York City will host two marquee grassroots basketball events in August.
The Big Strick Classic will take place Aug. 10 at the Gauchos Gym in The Bronx, and the Elite 24 is set for Aug. 24 in New York City.
The Big Strick, which is a memorial to the legendary streetball player John “Franchise” Strickland, announced its rosters Tuesday night, while the Elite 24 has yet to announce rosters or game specifics.
The Big Strick is set to tip at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Gauchos Gym. Admission is free and open to the public.
