  • Chris Walker to Florida, Promises National Championship

Florida coach Billy Donovan scored a major coup early Sunday morning when Chris Walker committed to the Gators over Kansas, Kentucky and Louisville.

“I will be playing college basketball for the University of Florida…and I will be teaming up with my teammate off the AAU squad, Kasey Hill, and together we will be the best duo in college basketball and we will win a national championship,” he said on a video on HTHoops.com.

The high-flying, 6-foot-10 Walker, out of Bonifay County (Fla.) Holmes County, is the No. 2 power forward in the Class of 2013, per Rivals.

His stay at Florida could be short as he is talented enough to be a one-and-done-type player, but with one year alongside Hill, they could do some serious damage.
