GARDEN GROVE, CA – De’Ron Davis is a highly touted power forward from Aurora, Colorado. He is athletic and a true beast in the paint.

Davis has done well this summer, and the host of offers he’s already received during his recruitment speaks volumes to his potential.

The Adidas Nations event in Southern California just wrapped up last night and Davis’ team won the championship in a convincing victory over Team Wall. The 6-foot-9 power forward was quiet on the offensive end, the game was geared towards five-star guard Dennis Smith and the sensational Thon Maker. Defensively, the young forward was an absolute force in the middle. He turned away and altered multiple shots.

After the game, the Colorado native updated the media on where he thinks he’s improved and what his recruitment process has been like.

“My process is going great,” said Davis. “There are a lot of different schools involved and a lot of offers. I just picked up an offer from Wake Forest and Oregon is the most recent one – there are a lot of programs looking at me and it is truly a blessing.”

Davis does not have a list of favorites, or any idea when he’ll make a top list of schools that he is interested in.

In fact, his recruiting process is wide open right now.

“I do not have any visits planned right now, but I do want to get out to Louisville soon, but it’s still up in the air,” Davis told the media.

Despite the factor of the unknown the physically imposing Davis has multiple programs that are really pushing hard for him.

“There are a few schools that are really pushing for me,” Davis said of his recruitment. “Arizona, Indiana, Colorado, Arkansas and Wake Forest have really been after for awhile now.”

Being in the class of 2016, Davis is in no rush to make his college decision and does not have a timetable in mind for his commitment.

Throughout the summer, the highly recruited Davis had strong showings at several different camps, but he had some improvements he wanted make so he can prove that he is always working on his game.

“I really wanted to be more consistent on both ends of the floor,” Davis said when speaking about his game. “It’s important that I work my game from the inside than move out to the midrange, so my jump shot is something I put a lot of work into.”

Davis is currently ranked as a four-star recruit on most national ranking platforms, but he is right on the brink of becoming a five-star talent. He summer session was stellar, so a rise in his recruiting stock could be on the way.
