BOSTONCarmelo Anthony and his teammates wanted to sweep the Celtics on Sunday afternoon at TD Garden, but instead they will head home with a split of the two games here.

All things considered, the Knicks can’t be too unhappy about leaving Beantown with a 3-1 series lead.

After all, they can now win their first playoff series in 13 years on the Madison Square Garden floor Wednesday night in Game 5.

“We look forward to bringing this game back home to the Garden on Wednesday and the Garden will be rocking Wednesday,” Anthony said after going for 36 points on 10-for-35 shooting in the 97-90 OT loss. “We’ll be prepared for that.”

The Knicks will get J.R. Smith back for that game after he served is one-game suspension for his Flagrant Foul-2 on Jason Terry in Game 3.

The newly minted Sixth Man of the Year, Smith is averaging 16.3 points in the series.

“We was looking forward to having him in this game today,” Anthony said of Smith. “But we didn’t and the guys that played,  they stepped up.

“We miss J.R. and we look forward to having him back. It will be an even tougher game come Wednesday.”

Still, the Knicks can take comfort in these numbers.

No team has ever come back from an 0-3 hole in the NBA playoffs.

And the Knicks are 33-10 at the Garden this season, including the postseason.

“We did out job when we came here,” said Raymond Felton, who picked up the slack in Smith’s absence and had a huge game with 27 points.

“We got us a win. We would’ve liked to have gotten both of these games, but we got one game. That was our goal.”

Asked if the Knicks would feel any pressure in Game 5, Felton said: “We don’t feel no pressure. We just want to come out and play basketball and try to get a win.

“We’re going back home so that’s where we’re more comfortable at.”
