BRAMPTON, ONTARIODillon Brooks is the latest Canadian prep standout to move South of the border to further his basketball career.

The 6-foot-5 CIA Bounce wing will play for Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep this coming season and will join fellow Canadian Jalen Poyser. Another Canadian, 2016 wing Justin Jackson, could also join them.

“To be honest actually, it’s a great environment,” Brooks told SNY.tv of Findlay Prep, which is expected to name former Georgetown and Toronto Raptors forward Jerome Williams as head coach.

“All the Canadians that have gone there made the NBA — Tristan [Thompson], Cory [Joseph] and now [Anthony] Bennett. That said, I couldn’t imagine a better place to fulfill my dreams.”

The news was first reported by Hoops Hype Canada.

Brooks will arrive at Findlay fresh off a 38-2 campaign last year with Father Henry Carr outside Toronto.

“He was Henry Carr’s most valuable player in a definitive ‘team,'” Father Henry Carr coach Paul Melnik told SNY.tv. “Jalen and Dillon, with the collection of hard working student-athletes at FHC, would have been an intimidating high school team.”

Brooks and Poyser will play for Findlay Prep despite former Pilots coach Todd Simon leaving the program to coach as an assistant at UNLV.

Williams is expected to take over.

“Great school, great coaches and a storied high school basketball program. They are results-oriented and they prepare players for the next level,” CIA Bounce coach Tony McIntyre told SNY.tv of Findlay Prep.
