Ivan RabbCalifornia already landed swingman Davon Dillard and now the Bears are hoping to secure several other high-profile recruits who tripped to campus this weekend.

The 6-foot-11 Ivan Rabb out of Oakland (CA) Bishop O’Dowd and the 6-8 Caleb Swanigan of Fort Wayne (IN) Homestead both enjoyed their visits to campus and the two McDonald’s All-Americans have discussed playing together at the next level.

“I think the visit went real well,” Tami Rabb, Ivan’s mother, told SNY.tv on Monday. “They visit really highlighted the growth and revamping of the Cal basketball program. The new coaching staff and support team are diligently working towards becoming a powerhouse in college ball. It was refreshing to see them outline the changes they are planning to make within their program. There is definitely a new energy within the program.”

Tami said that her son invited Dillard, Swanigan and Oscar Frayer — a 6-5 2016 small forward from Hayward (CA) Moreau Catholic — on the trip and has discussed playing with them in college.

“He asked them to come no a visit with him,” she said. “I’m sure he would like to play with them.”

Rabb is also considering Arizona, Kentucky, Kansas and UCLA, and has already visited Kentucky and Arizona. He will sign in the spring.

“As for where Ivan stands with his decision, he plans to finish all his visits and then make  decision.”

Swanigan’s visit was also “good,” his guardian Roosevelt Barnes told SNY.tv.

Swanigan is also being courted hard by the likes of Duke, Michigan State, Kentucky and Arizona, among others.

He will also decide in the spring.
