Jermaine Lawrence Lists a Top Three

Jermaine Lawrence, a special 2013 player from Pope John (N.J.), told reporters at the NBA Top 100 Camp he has a top three.

The 6-foot-10 Lawrence told Jeff Borzello and Matt Whitfield he has Rutgers, Syracuse and Florida atop his list, in no particular order.

Lawrence would be a tremendous get for any of those schools, and he would be the biggest recruit to date for Rutgers coach Mike Rice if he were to land him.

As previously reported by SNY.tv, Lawrence will attend the Rutgers Elite Camp next weekend and begins play there Saturday.

A long, athletic forward who can step out and shoot it from beyond the arc, Lawrence has the potential to be a pro.

“He’s able to do a lot of things right now,” Pope John coach Jason Hasson told SNY.tv after Lawrence was named MVP of the Mary Kline Classic. “He can get to the basket. He can rebound. He can catch and shoot threes. He’s very versatile right now.”
