On the day of his unofficial visit to Nebraska, Joseph “JoJo” Anderson announced that he would be joining Jalen Coleman in transferring to La Lumiere Prep in LaPorte, Indiana for next season.
His former Houston Yates teammate, 6-6 power forward Sadiq Inuwa, will also transfer to La Lumiere, according to Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop.
Anderson said that he had the idea of attending La Lumiere in his head since the coaching staff first contacted him.
“Once they contacted me, I knew that it was a place that I wanted to go,” Anderson told SNY.tv. “The have great academics, a great coaching staff, and just a great environment as well.”
Anderson listed Huntington Prep and Montrose Christian as two other schools that he considered moving to.
Listed as a point guard at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds, Anderson is a player that can take any guard off the bounce, but says that he will look to improve his midrange game as well as his strength in the up-and coming months.
Current offers for Anderson include Auburn, Texas A&M, Houston, and Nebraska, while his favorites are some schools that haven’t offered yet.
“Arizona, UCLA, and Baylor, are my favorites right now,” he said. “Speaking with those schools pretty consistently.”
Anderson’s goals are clear.
“I want to make a statement, and crack that top-25 nationally,” Anderson said. “And try to be recognized as one of the top 3 point guards in the nation.”
