Jordan Adams is headed to UCLA.

As first reported by Alex Kline of TheRecruitScoop.com, Adams chose the Bruins over Memphis, Georgia and Miami.

“I committed there because of their history, tradition and alumni,” he told Kline. “It’s a great school with great coaches and players that always play hard. The campus was lovely and I just feel like my future will be the best there.”

The 6-foot-6 Adams out of Oak Hill Academy is the No. 18 small forward in the Class of 2012, per Rivals.

“I am excited for Jordan and believe UCLA is getting a tremendous offensive player,” Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said by text.

“He is a tremendous shooter who has advanced his game over the last year and continues to work on is offensive skills and body. He will be one of the top senior wing players in all of high school basketball this year.”

Adams said UCLA’s hiring of Korey McCray, his coach with the Atlanta Celtics, played a key role in his decision. McCray replaced Scott Duncan last month.

“(The hiring of coach McCray) played a big role because he was also my trainer,” he said. “None of these colleges would be recruiting me if I wasn’t somewhat decent and he was the one who helped me get there.”
