K.J. Lawson, a 6-foot-6 2015 small forward from Memphis Hamilton, has verbally committed to Memphis, sources told SNY.tv.

Lawson reportedly also held offers from Texas, Stanford, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Arkansas, among others.

He is the No. 6 small forward in the Class of 2015, per Scout.com.

Memphis head coach Josh Pastner has done a strong job of keeping local talent at home. His 2013 recruiting class includes local stars Austin Nichols, Markel Crawford and Nick King.
