The 6-foot-10 2015 big man visited Kentucky last weekend for the LIU Brooklyn game just days days before his announcement.

“It was just to get a second opinion of the school,” Towns told MSGVarsity in this video. “So going there for a second time I got to see a  little more of the campus, my first ever glimpse of the campus actually.”

Towns was coached last summer by John Calipari and Orlando Antigua on the Dominican Republic National Team.

Towns is also considering Duke and Florida, among others.

“I think the decision had to come closer just so I could focus on my high school career and leave a great legacy,” he said.

Asked if he has already decided, he said, “I can honestly say no. A decision hasn’t even been made yet. I think right now I’ve only dwindled the list to five.”

Karl Towns Sr. previously told SNY.tv the family was considering having Karl reclassify to 2014 from 2015, which might put him closer to potentially entering the 2015 NBA Draft.

“I’m not sure of any of that,” Jackie Towns previously said of her 17-year-old son. “We haven’t really discussed anything like that and I’m not sure if something like that is going to happen.”
