Kentucky is impressed by the transformation that Isaiah Briscoe has made over the past year.

That was the message conveyed Tuesday by assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen after he met with the 6-foot-3 Briscoe following his recent official visit to Kentucky.

“Today was a great opportunity to sit down with Coach Slice and talk about Kentucky and how they feel about Isaiah,” Roselle Catholic head coach Dave Boff told SNY.tv. “Kentucky has been really impressed by the work Isaiah has done in the Roselle Catholic strength and conditioning program and how hard he has worked to change his body and improve his athleticism.”

Briscoe excelled throughout the summer on the EYBL circuit, leading the New Jersey Playaz to the Peach Jam Championship, averaging 21.1 points per game.

“They are excited about Isaiah’s play last year and this summer,” Boff said. “How he has developed into a player who is efficient in all areas of the game which is something we have worked hard on.”

The No. 6 ranked player in the class of 2015 by 247 Sports, Briscoe will meet with St. Johns’ Steve Lavin on Thursday and will visit Mizzou this weekend.
