Knicks assistant GM Allan Houston and Baron Davis watched point guard Bobby Brown work out Wednesday at Impact Academy, Andrew Moore, Director of Development at Impact, confirmed to SNY.tv.

As first reported by Yahoo! Sports, the Knicks also worked Brown out in Las Vegas on Tuesday, meaning they saw him two days in a row.

“They watched him play five-on-five at Impact [Wednesday],” Moore told SNY.tv. “He looked great. With his experience, he can run a team, keep them organized and really score the ball when necessary.

    “He’s a tough, pesky on-ball defender, too.”

Moore said the Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns were also in the gym this week.

After playing for four NBA teams, Brown, 28,  averaged 18.8 points and 5.3 assists the past season for Siena of Italy.

The Knicks are looking for a third point guard behind Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni and are considering Brown, Nate Robinson, Aaron Brooks, Sebastian Telfair and Toury Murry, who is on their summer league roster.

“There’s a lot of candidates and we’re just going through an evaluation right now to see who might be the best thing,” Knicks GM Glen Grunwald said this week on a conference call.

“It may be that we just want to open it up to a competition in training camp and bring some of the players in here that are willing to compete for it and earn a contract much like Chris Copeland did last year.”
