Marcus Derrickson and Jalen Adams are transferring to Brewster (N.H.) Academy for their senior seasons, according to the team Twitter page.
The 6-foot-8, 250-pounds Derrickson is ranked No. 74 in the Class of 2015 by 247 Sports, and has already committed to Georgetown. A big man who can shoot the 3-ball, he is transferring from Fairfax (VA) Paul VI.
“I really don’t know that much about Marcus as a player other than talking to coaches who have seen him far more than I have, and the various clips on YouTube,” Brewster coach Jason Smith told Michael Bohlin of 247 Sports. “He looks to be a very versatile player, somebody who shoots the ball real well at his size. He’s able to play inside as well as outside. I think he would like to continue improve his overall conditioning which would continue to increase his level of play but I am excited to get to know him.”
Adams, a UConn commit, is listed at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds and is ranked No. 38 in 2015 by 247 Sports. He is transferring from Cushing Academy (N.H.)
“I had a great experience at Cushing,” Adams told NERR. “I’m proud to have graduated from there and of the things we were able to do on the court together.”
Adams shared the Cushing Academy backcourt with Syracuse bound point guard Kaleb Joseph.
Adams and Derrickson will be joining Washington commit David Crisp, Louisville commit Donovan Mitchell and Virginia commit Jarred Reuter at Brewster, creating a powerhouse of a team once again.
