Michigan Offers James Blackmon

James Blackmon picked up an offer from Michigan during his weekend visit and said he enjoyed his trip.

UMHoops.com reported that he spoke with Michigan players Mitch McGary and Zak Irvin on the trip.

“I think it just has a college feel, kind of,” Blackmon told UMHoops.com. “I like how there’s a lot of students out who were into the sports and there was people everywhere in the streets.”

He added: “(The coaches) just said that I would be a good part there and that I fit the system real well. … (The offer) is great for me to have and that’s a place that I can see myself at. Like the coaches said, I think I fit the system well because I can shoot the three, and that’s what they do.

“I really don’t have a list, and I really haven’t made a decision, but I like (Michigan) a lot.”

Since decommitting from Indiana, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Marion (IN) has now visited Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State and Michigan.

He doesn’t know what his next visit will be and previously said he will decide in the fall.

“I don’t know,” he said. “I have to figure out what officials I’m going to take.”
