Nate Mason Enjoys Minnesota Visit

Nate Mason, a 6-foot point from Montrose Christian, took his final official visit this weekend to Minnesota and enjoyed it.

“It was good, really good,” Mason told by phone. “The place was nice. I like the offense, the tempo they played at. They [would] use me to run the team, score, get some wins under their belt.”

He is being recruited by head coach Richard Pitino and assistant Kimani Young.

“They’re real straight dudes, I like that,” he said.

Mason has also visited Virginia and Kansas State, but has no timetable on a decision.

“I am ready to get it over with,” he said. “I’m not sure yet [when he will decide].”

Minnesota has one commit in 2014 in power forward Josh Martin, but has missed out on several point guards.
