Norvel Pelle, the No. 2 center in the Class of 2011, is in the midst of taking home visits and will decide on his officials after that.

The 6-foot-10, 205-pound Pelle out of Los Angeles Price has had in-home visits with UTEP, Washington, Kansas, Oregon and St. John’s with Arizona due in Wednesday (tonight), according to Dinos Trigonis of Fullcourt Press, who covers West Coast recruiting and has coached Pelle with the Belmont Shore Basketball Club.

Pelle still has in-homes coming with UConn and UCLA.

“After he finishes with those he’ll decide where he’s gonna visit,” Trigonis said. “He’s still trying to figure things out.”

Pelle’s high school coach, Michael Lynch, politely referred me to his parents, and a phone call to Pelle’s home Wednesday night was not immediately returned.

Sources said the St. John’s home visit went very well. The Johnnies are involved with a number of West Coast players, including Pelle and wing Amir Garrett.
