On Friday Morning, Jim Larranaga added a key part to the class of 2014 for Miami when Omar Sherman committed to the U.

Sherman, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound power forward out of Dallas Prime Prep (Tex.), became the third player from the class of 2014 to commit to Miami, joining JaQuan Newton and James Palmer.

A player with a strong frame and a versatile skill set, Sherman will make an impact right away at Miami, joining their quick guards, giving them a low-post presence to play off of.

“They are the best fit for me,” Sherman told SNY.tv on Friday. “I can stretch the defense with my shot, and I can bring a versatile playing style from shooting on the perimeter, to going back in the post.”

Sherman chose Miami over Houston, Weber State, and Wichita State.
