Here’s his third player blog for ZAGSBLOG:
Back again. Within the last week I took unofficial visits to both UNC and Duke.
My experience at UNC was an all-day visit with the coaching staff accompanied by my mother and little brother. Coach [Hubert] Davis is my main recruiter and we have a very good relationship. I met all the coaches and Coach [Roy] Williams for the first time. Coach addressed my injury and how it will not affect their recruitment of me, it will just prolong the time until they will offer me. That was great to hear. I had the opportunity to tour the facilities and campus, attend shootaround, and see the great game against Duke that night. The atmosphere was unbelievable and the loudest game I’ve ever been to. Overall, it was a great visit and I went back Saturday for their noon game against Wake Forest.
Saturday was my visit to Duke for the Syracuse game. With my father we met with Coach Wojo. We went to all the facilities, met the coaches and trainers, then sat down in the film room along with Coach [Jon] Scheyer to watch some senior videos which the Krzyzewski family puts together for each senior. JJ Redick was my favorite college player but we also took a look at Coach Scheyer’s video as well. Their 2010 Nat’l Championship video spoke volumes of what they are about. I got to put shots up in the practice facility then talked with Coach K before the game. The game itself was an amazing experience, and I was able to be in the locker room before and after the game. My father and I sat down with Coach K, Wojo, and Capel when things settled down after the game. We talked about the game, and Coach also said my injury will not affect their recruitment of me and they will be up for a home visit after their season.
Last weekend was worth the trip. UNC and Duke were great visits. Until next time!
