    miles-bridges-140508-proTwo high-profile Class of 2016 players have trimmed their lists, with Miles Bridges and Kobi Simmons both cutting it down.

    The 6-foot-7 Bridges out of Huntington (W.V.) Prep is down to five schools after picking up an offer from North Carolina.

    An honorable mention All-Peach Jam selection, Bridges trimmed N.C. State, Iowa State and Louisville from his list.

    As previously reported here, Bridges will visit Michigan State Sept. 12 for the Oregon football game, and will also visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness on Oct. 16.

     

    SIMMONS DOWN TO SIX

    4_947907Simmons, a 6-4 combo guard from Alpharetta (GA) St. Francis, trimmed his list to six schools, his father confirmed to SNY.tv.

    Simmons is considering Ohio State, Xavier, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Arizona.

    As previously reported, Simmons will visit Kentucky on Aug. 28t followed by Xavier on Sept. 4.

    Simmons is the No. 1 combo guard in the Class of 2016 rankings per 247Sports.com.

     

    ALKINS ADDS UNC OFFER

    Rawle Alkins Tweeted Monday night that he has added a North Carolina offer, meaning he has virtually every big-time offer there is to have except Duke. He had also picked up a UNLV offer on Sunday.

    The 6-foot-5 New York City combo guard will be on display this week at the adidas All-American Camp on Long Island which will feature a showcase game Wednesday night at Rucker Park.

    On July 22, Alkins and the NY Rens — the adidas Gauntlet champs — will play Wendell Carter Jr. and the Georgia Stars — the Nike Peach Jam champs — in a showcase game at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.

Academy…Tulsa has offered 2016 shooting guard Travis Atson of the PSA Cardinals and South Kent (Conn.)…N.C. State offered 2017 wing Jordan Tucker of the NY Lightning and White Plains (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac…Arkansas, USC and Oklahoma offered 6-10 Sedee Keita of WE R1, who will cut his list after the last live period…Maryland and Villanova are the latest to offer 2017 combo guard Hamidou Diallo of the NJ Jayhawks and Woodstock (CT) Academy.
