Tevin Mack plans to commit in the fall, but hasn’t yet decided when.

The 6-foot-6 2015 wing out of Columbia (S.C.) Dreher has trimmed his list to UConn, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, and VCU.

On Georgia: “I can go there and help them win. I can make an immediate impact, but I can do that anywhere I go.”

On UConn: “They win big. They are on the big stage! They have a great coach and a great program. I can also go there and have an impact.”

On VCU: “Shaka is a great coach. They have great fans, and they win a lot of games!”

On South Carolina” “They are the hometown school. They are on the come up as well. Frank is a great coach.”

Mack is a big-time athlete who can buckle down on defense to stop the opponent’s best offensive player. He can finish above the rim with authority, and he can get to the rim off the bounce. He needs to improve his jumper at this point, but he has the potential to make an impact for a big program during the 2015-16 season.

    LYLE CONSIDERING OPTIONS

The JaQuan Lyle Sweepstakes is once again wide open.

After Oregon removed the 6-5 guard from its roster in September, Lyle enrolled at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.

Since arriving there, Lyle visited Indiana last weekend for Hoosier Hysteria. Lyle is an Indiana native who was once actively recruited by Indiana before he ultimately committed to Louisville, then decommitted.

He then signed with Oregon out of Huntington (W.V.) Prep, but was not admitted.

Now Lyle is weighing his options, with Indiana and Missouri among those in the mix, along with Oregon.

Missouri, which boasts former Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford on its staff, and Oregon, which hopes to keep Lyle in the mix for 2015-16, both saw him last week at IMG.

     7-FOOTER DUGAN HAS OFFERS

Seth Dugan is a true 7-footer with loads of potential out of Otsego (MI) High. The big-bodied center has good hands and feel for the game in the post. He can rebound the basketball and he has great timing on altering shots. He is a work in progress on the offensive end, but he can develop into a solid high-major Division I post player.

The 2015 big man holds notable offers from Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Davidson, Western Kentucky, and Xavier.

As for Xavier, he said, “They play in a great conference [the Big East] , and they have had some success in the past.”

He is also receiving interest from some of the nation’s best programs in Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, Oregon, Texas, Nevada, and the latest to join the mix, Duke. Dugan mentioned that of those schools, MSU, Michigan, and Purdue are recruiting him the hardest.

He took a visit to Michigan State for their Midnight Madness recently. “It was a lot of fun!” he said. “It was crazy in there!! They have a great history there, and the academics are great too.”

His next official visit is Nov. 7 to Purdue University. He likes what the program has to offer and he has a few things he is looking forward to on the visit.

“Purdue seems like a school that I could fit well at, and they have what I want to study,” he said. “I’m looking forward to getting to see the campus and getting to know the coaches a little bit better.”

IOWA, FAU, ST. LOUIS ADD COMMITS

**Iowa on Sunday landed a pledge from 6-5 Chicago (IL) Simeon small forward Isaiah Moss.

Moss will add some much-needed perimeter depth beginning in 2015.

“He felt very comfortable with the school and the staff was so nice today,” his father, Mike, told SNY.tv. “His family really enjoyed it and he will have an opportunity to work with that basketball staff and to be a part of the Big 10. The academics are also a great opportunity.”

He joins shooting guard Andrew Fleming, small forward Brandon Hutton and power forward Ahmad Wagner in Iowa’s 2015 class.

He also considered DePaul, Iowa State and Rhode Island, among others.

**Florida Atlantic got a pledge Sunday from Jesse Hill, a 6-8 combo forward from Point Pleasant Beach (N.J.).

“He loved the coaching staff at FAU and felt their system and player development were a perfect fit for him,” head coach Nick Catania told SNY.tv.

“Jesse has tremendous athletic ability. His length and versatility to play the perimeter and post both offensively and defensively make him unique. He has taken his game to the next level over the last three months and will continue to build on that throughout the year.”

Several MAAC and Ivy League schools were also involved.

**Earlier this week, 6-11 Matt Neufeld out of Bel Aire Sunrise Christian Academy (KS) announced for St. Louis.

Neufeld also considered St. Mary’s in the recruiting process, and he had begun seeing a rise in his stock lately. The 2015 power forward is the second commitment in his class at SLU. He joins 6-9 Bridgton Academy power forward Elliot Welmer.

“He’s a mobile/agile 6-11 skilled player,” Sunrise Christian coach Kyle Lindsted said. “He shoots it well from 3 and in. He should be a very, very good get for them.”
