Robert Carter Jr. will visit St. John’s in the near future but no date has been finalized, sources told SNY.tv.
Maryland and South Carolina are also involved, according to Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.
The former Georgia Tech power forward averaged 11.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game for the Yellow Jackets in his sophomore year.
“My plans are just to open it up now and then just see who wants to recruit me and then make a decision based on who’s recruited me and then who has what I want, who can help me achieve my goals the best,” he told the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.
Listed at 6-foot-8, 247-pounds, Carter will be expected to have a big impact no matter where he goes.
St. John’s is no longer in the running for Jermaine Lawrence, and appears to have shifted focus.
