What’s up, world?
It’s your basketball junkie Terry Larrier.
In my last blog I was getting ready for Pangos All-American camp. Now I’m in the car heading to the Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Washington, D.C., this weekend hoping to outwork my peers.
I’ve been blessed to have taken a few unofficial visits since last time. I visited Penn State, Rutgers and Seton Hall. All the visits went well in my eyes and each had a couple of things I’m searching for in the college/university I land at.
The most important part to each visit has been being able to meet with the academic staff. While most people want to discuss the basketball side of things, I’m fully interested in a graduation plan I have set for myself and being able to capture that goal. Needless to say, I have to make sure grandmom’s is happy.
While most guys my age are searching for sometime to relax, I’ve been getting ready for Peach Jam, the Nike Global Challenge and that NCAA live period. I’ve been in the gym doing two-a-day sessions with my AAU coach/mentor and refining some tools that I need for the next level.
While the workouts hard difficult, I respect the time he’s putting in with me. The scary part of the process is that every time someone comes out with new rankings with me on it, he goes even harder at me. He’s big on not being comfortable with your current situation.
Nevertheless, big shout out to my Team Scan teammates as we get ready for our last AAU summer together!
