Adam Zagoria is a Basketball Insider who covers basketball at all levels. A contributor to The New York Times and SportsNet New York (SNY), he is also the author of two books and is an award-winning journalist and filmmaker. His articles have appeared in ESPN The Magazine, SLAM, Sheridan Hoops, Basketball Times and in newspapers nationwide. Trevon Duval, a 2017 point guard from Newark (N.J.) St. Benedict’s Prep, picked up an offer from Syracuse on Thursday, he reported via Twitter.
Duval is one of the top point guards in the 2017 class, rated No. 2 at his position by 247Sports and the No. 8 point guard in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The Syracuse offer comes just under a month after he received an offer from Louisville and Coach Rick Pitino.
The 6-3 Duval also holds offers from UConn, Rutgers, SMU, Pittsburgh, Villanova, Miami and Seton Hall, among others.
