UConn is the latest school to offer 7-foot, 240-pound 2016 big man Rodney Miller of Oak Hill (Va.) Academy.

“[Head coach] Kevin [Ollie] called me and personally spoke to my son,” Miller’s mother, Maria, told SNY.tv. “He just said he wants him and will recruit him personally. It’s a good school and we are very interested.”

She added that Ollie “will see him very soon and he told Lil Rod he is excited about his future at UConn.”

UConn must add bigs going forward with sophomore Amida Brimah expected to head to the NBA either in 2015 or 2016.

Maria said the following schools have expressed “serious interest”: Georgia Tech, Kansas, Florida, Duke, Indiana, Purdue, Wake Forest, Miami, Virginia, Tennessee, Tulsa and Stanford.

A captain at Oak Hill, Miller is a native of Laurelton, N.Y., which is in Queens. His father, Rodney Sr., said his son has a 4.0 GPA.

UCLA, CAL WATCH RABB GO FOR DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Assistants from UCLA and Cal watched 2015 Oakland (CA) Bishop O’Dowd big man Ivan Rabb go for 28 points and 20 rebounds Saturday night in a 63-55 win over Las Vegas Bishop Gorman.

UCLA assistant David Grace and Cal assistants Tracy Webster and Jon Harris were on hand for the game.

The 6-10 Rabb is considering Kentucky, Kentucky, UCLA, Cal and Arizona and recently said Cal was among his top three.

For Bishop Gorman, 7-footer Stephen Zimmerman went for 14 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks in the loss. He has a final five of Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Arizona and UNLV, but won’t sign an NLI.

Both players are expected to sign late.

“When I figure out where I want to go, I want to just commit,” Rabb told the San Jose Mercury News.
