A slew of schools are recruiting Northfield (MA) Mount Hermon big men Josh Sharma and Aaron Falzon, both in the Class of 2015.
Wisconsin, Georgetown, Duke, UConn, Vanderbilt, Gonzaga, Virginia, Marquette and Boston College have all been through the prep school this spring, coach John Carroll told SNY.tv.
Carroll said Wisconsin is working especially hard for the 7-foot Sharma.
“Wisconsin was the first school to step up the recruiting for Sharma,” Carroll said. “Josh took an official visit to Madison on the first weekend in January for the Wisconsin-Iowa game. He had a great visit to Wisconsin. They have tracked him all season with Head Coach Bo Ryan and assistant coach Gary Close watching our playoff win vs South Kent and then again visiting with Josh on campus on Monday.
Meantime, Harvard coach Tommy Amaker has established a connection with 6-7 forward Aaron Falzon, Carroll said.
“Aaron has also seen his list of suitors grow,” Carroll said. “He has made a strong connection with Tommy Amaker and the staff at Harvard, but is going to play through the AAU season. A 6-8 sniper, Aaron has been putting together a terrific Spring of basketball at NMH.
“Both players want to combine an elite academic school with a great basketball program.”
Carroll said Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Georgetown’s John Thompson III will see Sharma in Dallas this weekend.
Also, Wisconsin and Virginia are recruiting 6-8 2016 power forward A.J. Brodeur.
