With the addition of D’Angelo Harrison to the Houston Rockets summer league roster, there are now six former St. John’s players on NBA rosters this summer.

Former St. John’s forward Orlando Sanchez and former Red Storm guard Phil Greene IV will both compete with Toronto; JaKarr Sampson is with Philadelphia; Justin Burrell is with Charlotte; and Sir’Dominic Pointer is with Cleveland after the Cavaliers drafted him at No. 53.

“It was them, the Lakers or the Mavericks,” the 6-foot-4 Houston native told the New York Post on Monday. “I had to make a decision. I just feel like they fit my playing style. Being on that team, I feel like I can help. Plus it’s home.”

“I’m just motivated, excited for an opportunity,” he said. “I have to show I can play alongside a point guard and facilitate when I need to and knock down shots.”
