Alex Illikainen, a 6-9 power forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy, is down to Iowa and Wisconsin, Brewster coach Jason Smith told SNY.tv.

He has visited Iowa and will trip to Wisconsin next weekend.

“He’s pretty much down to those two,” Smith told SNY.tv. “Alex has said he’s said pretty content with those two schools. He’s perfectly content with the two schools remaining.”

One source — not Smith —  told SNY.tv they expect Illikainen to land at Wisconsin.

Illikainen cancelled a visit to Oregon for this weekend after they landed four-star power forward Trevor Manuel. With Minnesota’s addition Friday of guard Jarvis Johnson, they are at the scholarship limit, Smith said.

“He’s a kid that’s really versatile,” Smith said of the Minnesota native. “Early on in his hs career he was primarily an interior physical banger. This spring and summer he showed an ability to step out and hit shots. He an play as an inside guy who can bang and finish at the rim or he can be a pick-and-pop four man.”
