Huntington Prep senior shooting guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes is done with visits and will announce Oct. 13 in Canada, head coach Rob Fulford told SNY.tv Monday.

The 6-foot-4 Rathan-Mayes is considering UConn, Illinois and Florida State. He recently canceled a visit to UConn because Huntington had their Homecoming Weekend.

“He was on an unoffical visit to UConn last year,” Fulford said.

“He’s been to all three [schools]. He took an official to Illinois and an unofficial to Florida State in the spring.

“All three teams recruiting him are totally different in style of play,” Fulford added “It’s going to be an interesting choice for him.”

Wherever he lands, that school will get  a scoring combo guard.

“Obviously, I think anyone who’s watched X knows he can play a couple different positions,” Fulford said. “He’s a scorer. He’s a really good shooter. He can play the point. He can play the two. It depends on the style of play.”

Fulford said 6-9 center Dominic Woodson is working on taking an official to N.C. State Oct. 12….Nothing is new with Andrew Wiggins and his plans to potentially reclassify to 2013 from 2014, Fulford said.
