Chris Silva, the 6-foot-9 2015 power forward from Roselle Catholic, enjoyed his official visit to Rhode Island earlier this week and will trip to South Carolina next.
“Rhody was good,” Silva told SNY.tv by text. “I like the fact they gave me very specific information with detail about fitting in with the team and I had fun with the players.”
Silva will trip to South Carolina Sept. 12-14 and has already visited Seton Hall. He will also visit Kansas State, RC coach Dave Boff told SNY.tv.
Silva recently cut his list to include Seton Hall, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Kansas State and Villanova. Boff said Silva is targeting a decision in September.
“I think Chris will make a decision by late September,” Boff said. “He’s excited to go through this process and find the school that is the best fit.
“His upside/potential is through the roof and his best basketball is ahead of him. When you think about where his game was and that this is his third year of organized basketball, he can end up as a very special player.”
