Jared Terrell Talks Rhody Visit

Jared Terrell has a long list of suitors, and Rhode Island may not be the sexiest name on his list.

But the 6-foot-2 Expressions Elite guard is considering the Rams and visited the campus unofficially Thursday with his friend and teammate, Abdul Malik Abu.

“The campus was nice,” Terrell, who plays for Brewster (N.H.) Academy, told SNY.tv. “I like how it was away from the city and more of a college town.”

Rhody coach Dan Hurley has beaten out some big boys for players like E.C. Matthews and Hassan Martin, and he’s looking to do the same with Terrell.

“Coach Hurley is a great guy,” Terrell said. “He knows what he is talking about and he works with his players a lot. I could imagine myself playing there and it is a good opportunity.”

Still, he is also considering  Florida, UConn, Cincinnati, Providence, Miami, Oklahoma State, St. John’s, UCLA and Xavier and will go through the process.

“I will take my time through this process by taking all my visits and seeing what the other program’s plans and visions are for me,” he said.
