Jaylen Brown will reschedule his final official visit to Michigan, he told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
The 6-foot-7 Brown out of Marietta (GA) Wheeler — who went for 31 points Monday in a 79-70 loss to Ivan Rabb and Oakland (CA) Bishop O’Dowd at the Hoophall Classic — had been set to visit Michigan Jan. 24, but has another commitment then.
Brown, projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com, will also take an unofficial to Georgia Feb. 17 when they play South Carolina, he says in his USA Today blog.
As previously reported by SNY.tv, Brown has family connections to Michigan.
“Next I’m gonna take a visit to Michigan on the 24th,” the 6-foot-7 Marietta (GA) Wheeler wrote. “I’ve got a lot of family up there and so it’s gonna be a little reunion while I’m there. A lot of them went to Michigan and Michigan State so I’m really excited to see the campus and see my people.
“That’ll be my fifth official visit and I’ll take an unofficial visit to Georgia on the 17th for a game.”
Brown took his fourth official to North Carolina last weekend when the Tar Heels beat Louisville, 72-71.
“I had my visit to UNC last weekend and I had a great time!” he wrote.
Brown is also considering Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Georgia and Georgia Tech. He will sign in the late period.
“After the season, I’ll know when I’ll want to make my decision,” he wrote. “I set that as a goal for myself; I’m not saying I’ll know where but, I feel like I’ll know when I’ll want to have a decision by.”
Brown also announced he had made the USA Hoop Summit team for April.
