Stephen Hurt, a 6-foot-10 center from Northwest Florida State, is currently on a visit to Kansas State.

He will then visit Miami (Sept. 6) , Wichita State (Sept. 14) and Indiana (Sept. 20), head coach Steve DeMeo confirmed to SNY.tv.

Former Northwest Florida coach Steve Forbes is currently an assistant at Wichita State.

“For a guy who is 6-10, 275, Stephen has some very impressive skills,” DeMeo told SNY.tv. “Very soft hands, has an array of post moves, passes well out of the post and is now starting to shoot the 3.

“In addition he is an excellent student and leader.”

Meantime, 6-10 center Michael Chandler is now being courted by Arizona, Oregon, Memphis, Minnesota, Wichita State, ECU and Dayton, DeMeo said.

Allan Chandler, Michael’s uncle, told SNY.tv Michael “will take an official to Arizona,” although no date is set.

Chandler previously committed and decommitted from Louisville, UCF and Xavier.

“He is very talented and has been playing really well,” DeMeo said. “He finishes everything near the rim and has 15-feet range. His work ethic on the court an din the classroom has been outstanding.”
