Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn enjoyed his weekend official visit to Michigan State and now has one more planned visit before decision time.
“It was good, I liked it,” Nairn told SNY.tv. “[Coach Tom Izzo] said I would have a chance to play right away because their point guard [Keith Appling] is leaving. He didn’t promise anything, though. He said I’m perfect for him and his system.”
“He really, really liked it and the offer is on the table,” Belaire (KS) Sunrise Christian Academy coach Kyle Lindsted told SNY.tv.
“He would have a chance to play right away. And they are obviously in a situation where they need him bad.”
A 5-foot-10, 175-pound Bahamas native, Nairn had trimmed his list to Minnesota, Oklahoma and Indiana, but now the Spartans are making an 11th-hour push after previously backing off on him. He has now visited Minnesota, Oklahoma and MSU, with Indiana due up next weekend.
“He has to take his visit to Indiana next week before making a decision,” Lindsted said.
