Chris Silva, the 6-foot-9 2015 power forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, will announce his college choice Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the school.
Silva took an official visit to South Carolina this past weekend and also recently visited Seton Hall and Rhode Island.
RC head coach Dave Boff said that as of Sunday afternoon, Silva had yet to decide between those three schools.
“His upside/potential is through the roof and his best basketball is ahead of him,” Boff recently told SNYt.vv. “When you think about where his game was and that this is his third year of organized basketball, he can end up as a very special player.”
Also this week at Roselle Catholic, UConn coach Kevin Ollie meets Tuesday with senior point guard Isaiah Briscoe, and on Thursday Kentucky coach John Calipari has a home visit with Briscoe.
