4_3220850The rich continue to get richer.

After winning the New Jersey Tournament of Champions in March, Roselle Catholic continues to add high-profile transfers to its powerhouse program.

The latest development is the addition of 6-foot-3 2017 point guard Nate Pierre-Louis, who transfers into RC after spending last season at St. Benedict’s Prep and his freshman season at St. Peter’s Prep.

“We are excited to have Nate coming to RC,” head coach Dave Boff told SNY.tv. “The family recently moved close to our school and he was also looking for a traditional high school experience so we think it’s a good fit.”

Pierre-Louis owns scholarship offers from numerous high-major programs, including UConn, St. John’s, Providence, St. Louis, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Iowa State, SMU and others.

RC lost several seniors to graduation, including Isaiah Briscoe (Kentucky), Chris Silva (South Carolina) and Pierre Sarr (Monmouth), but has now added several key transfers in Pierre-Louis, 2017 point guard Leondre Washington of Teaneck and 2017 small forward Andre Rafus, a Baltimore native.

The Lions also return 2018 stud Naz Reid as well as 2016 guard Matt Bullock.

The transfer by Pierre-Louis is just the latest high-profile transfer involving a New Jersey player.

Syracuse-bound guard Tyus Battle moved to St. Joe’s-Metuchen from Gill St. Barnard’s. Former St. Anthony forward Taurean Thompson left for Brewster (N.H.) Academy, while Bob Hurley’s program added 2017 power forward Daniel Mading and his brother Marial Mading, a freshman point guard.

Meantime, St. Benedict’s has added former Pope John guard James Scott, and may lose 2017 point guard Trevon Duval, who is weighing his options while being courted by the nation’s elite programs.
