Derrick JonesDerrick Jones, a 6-foot-7 wing forward from Radnor (PA) Archbishop Carroll, enjoyed his visit to UNLV for  the Scarlet & Gray Showcase, his father told SNY.tv.

“The visit was great,” Derrick Jones Sr. said. “We really like Coach [Dave] Rice, Coach [Ryan] Miller and the rest of the UNLV family. They said with the talent that Derrick’s got, they would use him in multiple ways depending where the mismatch is.”

Jones, who is also being courted by UConn and Auburn, among others, is not expected to commit until the spring.

He visited UNLV along with several other players, including 2016 commit Justin Jackson of Findlay Prep and 2016 Findlay Prep point guard Derryck Thornton.
