NEW YORK — Houston Hoops wing Justise Winslow plans to cut his list from eight schools to five possibly as early as next week.

“Yeah, I’m going to probably cut it pretty soon to five, so I can get my five officials set,” Winslow told SNY.tv in the above video at the Elite 24. “So that’s something I’m looking to do next week or in the weeks coming.”

The 6-foot-6 Houston Hoops wing is currently considering Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, Texas A&M, Arizona, UCLA and Stanford, and said it will be tough to cut three of them.

“It’s hard, the whole process has been hard, but it’s something I gotta do just to move forward so I can get closer to making a decision,” he said. “It’s hard, but it’s something I gotta do.”

Winslow said he expects that Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor are “pretty much going to go to school together,” but he’s not certain he will join them.

“I would like to play with them, but I gotta do what’s best for me,” he said. “I got other guys, like Stanley [Johnson] I would to play with too, but at the end of the day I gotta do what’s best for me and my family.”
