Ochefu Picking Up Offers

Daniel Ochefu is piling up the high-major offers.

Rutgers became the latest Division I school to offer the 6-foot-10, 235-pound Class of 2012 forward/center out of The Westtown (Pa.) School.

Ochefu now claims offers from West Virginia, Virginia, Temple, James Madison and Rutgers.

“I like Georgetown and Kentucky a lot but I’m sure there will be more offers at the end of the summer,” Ochefu told ZAGSBLOG contributor Alex Kline.

Ochefu said he has no visits planned yet but will set some up soon.

“No visits yet but I am probably going to visit all the schools that have offered and Georgetown, Maryland and Villanova before the end of the summer,” he said.

As for Rutgers, Ochefu says he doesn’t know much about the school but is interested in new coach Mike Rice.

“I don’t really know that much about Rutgers,” he said. “I know they have a new coach but that’s it really. Coach Mike sounds like a good guy with a big goal and he seems like he can achieve that goal.”
DeMatha star point Guard Quinn Cook from the Class of 2011 will take 2 unofficial visits next week to Arizona & UCLA, per Kline. Both have offered.
