Derek_kelloggWith former UMass coach Travis Ford having departed for Oklahoma State, UMass is now in search of a coach. Look for UMass to go after former Minutemen Derek Kellogg (left), a Memphis assistant and former UMass coach, or Tony Barbee, the head coach at UTEP. Ohio University coach Tim O’Shea, a former Boston College coach, and Fran McCaffery of Siena could also be options.

“We’ll be motivated and in motion as early as tomorrow with a national search to find a replacement,” UMass AD John McCutcheon told the Boston Globe in today’s editions. “Our preference is to have someone with head coaching experience.”
