    PISCATAWAY, N.J. — When Mike Teel was first recruited by Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano out of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J., the idea of going to a bowl game was just a dream, a goal set out by Schiano as part of his rebuilding project.

    “You envisioned it, you didn’t know if it would really become a reality because of where the program was at the time and how much work had to be done from a coaching standpoint and from a recruiting standpoint,” Teel recalled.
