    NEW YORK – Six overtimes wasn’t enough for Syracuse.

    After going six extra periods before downing UConn early Friday morning in a historic Big East quarterfinal, the Orange needed another OT to knock off West Virginia 74-69 in the semifinals later that same day.

    “I’m sorry we didn’t give you a longer game tonight,” Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim cracked. “We tried.”
