PHILADELPHIA — The basketball skipped off Reggie Redding near the UCLA basket, and Corey Fisher alertly grabbed it about 10 feet from the rim.
Fisher drove the baseline hard, elevated his 6-foot-1 frame over 6-foot-9 UCLA forward Nikola Dragovic and floated the basketball off the glass for two points. He then added a foul shot for a commanding 22-point, second-half lead.
The athletic, highlight-reel play drew a wild ovation from the home fans at the Wachovia Center, who seemed a bit stunned at the ease with which No. 3 Villanova handled No. 6 UCLA 89-69 in a second-round NCAA Tournament game at the Wachovia Center.
