  • Pitt’s Lewis Primed for Heisman Run

    NEWPORT, R.I. — After Dion Lewis’s junior season at Blair (N.J.) Academy in 2007, no one could have imagined the tailback would one day wind up on a Heisman Trophy watch list.

    At that point, Blair head football coach Jim Stone and his staff began assembling a videotape of Lewis’ top plays just to drum up recruiting interest.

    “We made a tape of him together in the office on all of his great plays and he had an awful lot of them,” Stone said Wednesday in a phone interview.
