After missing out on Shannon Brown and Rudy Fernandez, the Knicks added Roger Mason as their new shooting guard.
The 6-foot-5, 212-pound Mason, 29, announced the move Thursday on his Twitter.
“Im headed to the BIG APPLE!!!!! With a BIG CHIP on my shoulder!!!!!! LETGO!!!!!!!!!!!!Knicks Fans, talk to me!!!!!!
Mason agreed to a one-year deal worth a reported $1.4 million.
He averaged 6.3 points in 19 minutes last season. Two years ago, he averaged 11.8 points in 30 minutes.
Earlier Thursday Shannon Brown decided to re-sign with the Lakers on a two-year deal with a player option worth a reported $4.6 million.
The Knicks were unable to pry Fernandez loose from the Portland Trail Blazers because they reportedly refused to give up a future No. 1 pick.
